I don’t know what we would have done if you weren’t available to help us out when I broke my wrist. You came later in the day and on additional days. It was a life saver! You treat Mulligan and our home as if it was your own.

When we first brought our beagle puppy (Opie) home over nine years ago, we knew that we were going to need help with his care. His aversion to crates, severe separation anxiety, and a life-threatening illness when he was 11 weeks old, presented some unexpected challenges. We had no family in the area and my wife and I both work full time. We interviewed several dog service companies. When Bonnie from Friends of the Family arrived for our initial consultation it was obvious that she was not only knowledgeable and experienced, but very comfortable with dogs and they with her. Opie was usually a bit careful with visitors and tended to keep his distance, but much to my surprise within ten minutes of meeting Bonnie he was curled up in her arms while she petted his pink puppy belly! She has been with us ever since.

Friends of the Family has been an invaluable resource to us when it comes to having a happy, healthy dog while maintaining busy work schedules and traveling out of town. They are available for scheduled visits, and can  always help out with unscheduled visits when work emergencies arise. Our dog is a beloved member of our family, and we trust Friends of the Family implicitly with Opie’s care when we are away. It provides great peace of mind to know that Opie is in their capable hands.

Frankie says treats, walks and a hug, life is good:-) We thought a “dog walker” would help us get over the hurdle of training a puppy. Two years later, Bonnie continues to be the favorite part of our dog’s day. Even our cat Spydie, who doesn’t like strangers, eagerly waits for his treats from Bonnie.

Afraid to board our skittish dog, we used the overnight service for several days. We were able to enjoy our daughter’s wedding and know our pets were in loving hands.

Bonnie and Steve Toye of Friends of the Family Pet Sitting Service have been lovingly and diligently caring for my best furry friends for over a dozen years. They first started caring for my previous dog when she became older and needed attention at mid-day. Then, they continued mid-day care for my subsequent puppy. I have large dogs, so walks are not easy. They have always treated my pets as they would their own. When I have an emergency and need them to visit at another time, they always come through. They also find and provide oversight to individuals that stay with my dog at my home when I’m on vacation. Knowing that they have carefully chosen these individuals to care for my best furry friend and maintains oversight allows me the piece of mind to enjoy my vacations. They have also provided care for the pets of other members of my family (both dogs and cats). They are the only people I would trust with my pet, and the only people I would recommend. They have never let me down, even in the coldest weather and the heaviest of snowstorms. I can’t say enough good things about these people. If you love your pet, then Bonnie and Steve Toye are the people you should trust.

I have worked with Steve and Bonnie of  FOTF 6 plus years.They have done many services for me,  including daily visits for walks, extra visits for times I would be out late, and extended overnights for vacations. They are always very accommodating.

Unlike other dog walkers, they actually seem to love their jobs and are very attached to all of their “clients”, treating them as their own. And on the random occasion that I have been home when Steve comes by, I can see that my dog is equally attached to him as well – he is all wiggles and roo-ing as soon as he sees him!

My dog is my heart, and I am not someone that will trust just anyone to care for him. But I whole-heartedly trust Steve and Bonnie at Friends of the Family. They make it completely possible for me to go to work and not stress out that he is home all day. I honestly do not know what I would do with out them. They have become part of my family, and I am so glad to have such caring people in my life. I would highly recommend them for anyone that is looking for caring, thoughtful people to help love and care for their pets.

Friends of the Family is my kind of dog service. Friends are always professional and service oriented. Most of all, however, is how caring they are of my dogs. It is clear by my dogs ears and tails that my dogs love the Friends staff. And it is clear by the hugs and cooing the staff loves my dogs. I always know when Bonnie visits my dogs because she leaves a big, red, lipstick kiss mark on their cheek.

Besides the daily visits of Friends of the Family, I use their overnight service. Whether I am gone for a day or a week, when Friends are with my dogs I enjoy my time away from home knowing my dogs are in the best possible care. I know Friends will give my dogs the attention that they are used to and that every detail of their care will be performed with love and concern.

I highly recommend Friends of the Family for both daily doggy visits and overnite care. Their names says it all: When I dial Friends it’s like dialing a trusted and loyal friend of the family.

Bonnie has taken care of my sweet boy Roscoe for 11 years. He was not even one yet when she came into our life. I had interviewed and tried out several other pet sitters with not so good results. In fact our Vet at the time highly recommended her. I knew immediately she was a perfect fit. I trust her to come into my home and care from much loved furry child that I love and adore. In fact, when it came time to buy another house, I specifically stayed in Naperville for one reason….so Bonnie could continue to care for Roscoe. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Through the years we have had daily visits, overnight stays, special needs during his recuperation after surgeries and illness, schedule changes, etc, They have always been professional, caring, considerate and have became extended family. Bonnie is known as Auntie Bonnie at our home and Roscoe loves her ALMOST as much as he does me.
