Friends of the Family was established in 1999 by Bonnie. Husband Steve followed in 2001, leaving his executive position in the corporate grind and never looked back! Steve realized in 1999 that a pet sitting business was an ideal occupation for Bonnie, considering her bright, friendly personality. Blessed with an uncanny ability to elicit love and affection from the most unlikely of our furry friends, Steve calls Bonnie the female version of St. Francis of Assisi, who referred to animals as his ‘brothers and sisters’. Steve and Bonnie have put their 3 children through college by logging many miles on their sneakers walking Naperville’s finest.
Bonnie
Bonnie loves obsessively surfing the net for animal rescue sites , working out, shopping and reading. Steve and Bonnie both live for visits from their kids and fawning over their furry kids, Rudy and Benny (Pinch). Life is good:-)

Steve, a retired military officer, loves donating to veterans’ charities, volunteering at a local homeless shelter, working out, reading and watching history documentaries, old movies and sports.
