When we first brought our beagle puppy (Opie) home over nine years

ago, we knew that we were going to need help with his care. His aversion to crates, severe separation anxiety, and a life-threatening illness when he was 11 weeks old, presented some unexpected challenges. We had no family in the area and my wife and I both work full time. We interviewed several dog service companies. When Bonnie from Friends of the Family arrived for our initial consultation it was obvious that she was not only knowledgeable and experienced, but very comfortable with dogs and they with her. Opie was usually a bit careful with visitors and tended to keep his distance, but much to my surprise within ten minutes of meeting Bonnie he was curled up in her arms while she petted his pink puppy belly! She has been with us ever since.

Friends of the Family has been an invaluable resource to us when it comes to having a happy, healthy dog while maintaining busy work schedules and traveling out of town. They are available for scheduled visits, and can almost always help out with unscheduled visits when work emergencies arise. Our dog is a beloved member of our family, and we trust Friends of the Family implicitly with Opie’s care when we are away. It provides great peace of mind to know that Opie is in their capable hands.
